You can expect to see this error when starting up your MT5, and it may be caused by a momentary interruption of bandwidth when starting up, or when not logged in with a valid trading account.
You must be successfully logged in with a valid trading account at least, or this error will persist. Check the connection status to verify a successful log-in.
Another possible cause is that the product pair does not exist. You need to see if the pair is being traded on FXCE MT5 or not. Otherwise, the MT5 screen will also show a "Waiting for Update" trading chart.
If you continue to see this error even after successfully logging in with your trading account and selecting the existing symbol on FXCE MT5, then:
- Right-click on the chart window and select [Refresh] to manually update the chart.
- Click and drag any instrument from the Market Watch window onto the affected chart window to see if it updates.
If the problem persists, an unstable internet connection may explain the cause; we suggest seeing if you installed and used the VPS service, or you can get in touch with the FXCE Support Team for further assistance.
