1. What is 2FA?
2FA – Two-factor Authentication is a two-step secure login method. In other words, it's a tool that helps secure your account with two layers of protection.
Initially, users log in with the registered email (or username) and password. Then, users enter the Google Authenticator code.
The Google Authenticator code is a 6-character code that changes every 30 seconds. Therefore, the user has to enter it in 30 seconds before it changes. This ensures that no one will be able to log into the user's account easily.
2. Steps to login with 2FA
Step 1: Log in to your FXCE account with your registered email and password.
Step 2: The screen displays. User need to open the Google Authenticator application on the device that has been linked to FXCE before to get the code and enter it as shown below, then click [Confirm].
3. Advantages of 2FA
A habit that users often make is to save passwords on devices that log in frequently or have logged in. Because of this, service providers around the world have created another layer of authentication to improve the situation of hacked accounts, affecting user's rights.
In summary, installing 2FA offers the following advantages:
- Increase the security of your account.
- Protect accounts in case users lose their password, have their account stolen, or lose their login device.
